President Bola Tinubu and the Chairman, Warri South Legislative Arm, Delta State, have been endorsed by the Legislative Arm of the council, for a second term in office.
The endorsement following the unanimous voice vote by members of the House, came after the Chairman of the council, unveiled detailed stewardship of his administration within one year in office, as encapsulated in GRACE, a vertebral column of his MORE GRACE agenda.
Leader of Warri South Legislative Arm, Joy Ejumudo, who presided over the special plenary, wherein Agbateyiniro read his administration’s ‘State of the Local Government Address’, explained that the decision by the House to endorse President Tinubu and Agbateyiniro, for second term, was consequent upon the excellent performance of the two as Chief Executives at the federal and council levels.
The Warri South council boss, while presenting his scorecard before the councillors, prominent political leaders in the council and critical stakeholders, disclosed that his administration, has engaged a team of engineers to immediately commence the reconstruction of over 73 shops recently engulfed by inferno at the densely populated Igbudu Market, Warri.
While stating that preliminary works had begun for construction of the affected shops, Agbateyiniro, said that the rebuilding of the shops would go side-by-side with reconstruction of a building recently burnt at Odion Road, Warri.
“I must thank the engineering, industrious and hardworking governor of our Dear State, for presenting me first the an opportunity to serve in his cabinet as Commissioner for Youths Development and then a massive support to become the Warri South LG Chairman. Your Excellency, I am very grateful.”
According to him, the GRACE vertebral column of MORE GRACE Agenda represents Growth and Development, R for Radical Rural Transformation, A for Agricultural Revolution, C for Commerce and Industrialization as well as E for Enhance Peace and Security.
