ABUJA: A Nigerian real estate investor, Dr. Adeniran Ogunmuyiwa, has claimed that he founded the high-value River Park Estate Abuja, and not Ghanaian investors.
The Nigerian businessman made the claim in a statement made available to Vanguard on Sunday, disputing assertion by the Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike, that Ghanaian investor, Sam JonahCapital owned by Sam Jonah is the owner of the sprawling estate now under ownership contention.
In the statement, Dr. Ogunmuyiwa made it clear that he founded JonahCapital Nigeria Limited in 2006 (with CAC Reg. No. 669754), when he instructed the Law Firm of L.D. Shwarkuka & Associates to incorporate the company with himself and his wife as 60%, majority shareholders.
Dr. Ogunmuyiwa stated that the lingering feud over River Park was caused by the Ghanaians, whom are actually he trying to take over JonahCapital from him by changing the shareholding of the firm in 2024 to give them undue powers over other investors.
“While we are not bothered by whatever the Ghanaians are claiming over River Park Estate ownership, we ask every right-thinking Nigerian to read the truth in the police report published publicly on 27th June 2025, ” Dr Ogunmuyiwa stated.
Dr. Ogunmuyiwa explained that the IGP has already taken appropriate steps in court to prove the real owners of the estate and appeal to Nigerians to be alert to the ongoing prosecution of the matter by the police in order to know the truth on the matter.
