Police launch search for missing FRSC officer, daughter in Ogun

Ogun State Police Command has launched a search for a female officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), SRC Funmilayo Lasisi, and her daughter, Sewa Lasisi, who had been declared missing.

The spokesperson of the command, CSP Omolola Odutola, the report was lodged at Kemta Divisional Police headquarters on Tuesday, 5th November 2025, by an FRSC officer serving in Abeokuta, Ogun State, in the company of the victims’ family members.

According to the report, SRC Lasisi and her daughter left their residence at Obasanjo Hilltop Estate, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, on Sunday morning, 2nd November 2025, and have not returned home since then.

It was gathered that all efforts to reach her on the phone have proved abortive.

Meanwhile, the State Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Command, Lanre Ogunlowo, has ordered an immediate and thorough investigation to ascertain their whereabouts and ensure their safe return.

The command’s PPRO, CSP Omolola Odutola, said members of the public with any useful information that could assist in locating the missing persons are kindly urged to contact the nearest police station or call the Ogun State Police Command’s emergency numbers: 0800 000 9111, 0915 957 8888, or +234 803 860 9898.

She assured that all information received will be treated with the utmost confidentiality.
