Our chairman Joel Danjuma alive not beheading – Adamawa CAN

Must read

By Umar Yusuf, Yola

The Adamawa State chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has dismissed circulating reports that its Chairman, Reverend Joel Danjuma, was killed and beheaded, describing the claims as false, baseless, and unfounded.

In a statement issued in Yola on Saturday, CAN emphasized that the rumors were deliberately spread by “agents of mischief” to tarnish the image of government and security agencies and to create confusion amid the already sensitive religious climate in the country.

The association assured the public that Reverend Danjuma is in good health and actively carrying out his official duties in the state.

CAN called on security agencies to investigate and apprehend the perpetrators behind the fake news, stressing that such misinformation is dangerous and has the potential to disrupt the longstanding peace in Adamawa and the wider country.

“The spread of false information endangers the stability and harmony that have been nurtured in our communities. We urge the police to launch a full-scale investigation to bring the culprits to justice,” the statement read.
