The Los Angeles Police Department on Saturday night responded to multiple street takeovers at intersections in neighborhoods including Pacoima and Echo Park as crowds of Dodger fans celebrated the team’s World Series victory over the Blue Jays.

In the late afternoon, the LAPD declared a citywide tactical to prepare for any possible public response to Game Seven, an LAPD spokesperson said.

The precautionary tactical alert was issued at 5:45 p.m. Saturday as the winner-take-all game was underway in Toronto.

After the Dodgers sealed the win in the 11th inning, fans took to the streets for revelry in downtown L.A. and other areas.

Video from AIR7 showed cars performing donut maneuvers at an intersection in Pacoima as onlookers ignited fireworks. No injuries or arrests were immediately announced.

LAPD officers issued a dispersal order at an intersection in Echo Park as throngs of fans took over an intersection, waving Dodger flags and shooting fireworks into the air.

Police also issued a dispersal order at the intersection of Figueroa Street and Chick Hearn Court in downtown L.A.

On nearby Ninth Street, between Main and Olive streets, the police department issued a traffic advisory due to a “large crowd in the area launching industrial size fireworks and vandalizing autonomous vehicles.”
