PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) — House of Hope Peoria is sharing an update about its re-entry program.

In July, it was reported that Tyng Primary School would be the location for the re-entry program. However, House of Hope announced on Monday that it will use a different location for returning citizens.

The new location for the re-entry program has not been revealed yet, but House of Hope leadership said a new location will be secured within 30 to 90 days.

Vice-President of House of Hope Marvin Alexis spent more than two decades behind bars. He shares his hope for the program as they welcome returning citizens.

“I do believe that they have something to offer the world. They have something to offer the communities in a positive manner and I just want them to have the opportunity to be able to blossom, you know, let’s develop them,” Alexia said.
