Malam Nasir El-Rufa’i, the former Governor of Kaduna State, has called on Zamfara residents to join the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to rescue Nigeria.

El-Rufa’i made the call while addressing a crowd of ADC supporters in Gusau on Sunday.

The former Kaduna governor stated that the ADC has effective blueprints to address security challenges in Zamfara.

El-Rufa’i stated that the ADC has good plans for the future of Nigeria, especially in the areas of security, economy, and food security.

“I, therefore, urge Zamfara residents to join the rescue move to save the state and Nigeria as a country.

“I am happy to visit Zamfara, I am very delighted as I see the progress of ADC and promotion of unity in the party.”

El-Rufa’i cautioned party members against sabotage and disunity.

He commended the party’s leadership in the state for the massive mobilisation of ADC members.

El-Rufa’i urged, “The party leadership should cooperate with youths and women groups to sensitise grassroots over the development of ADC in the state.”

He appealed to the electorate to get their Permanent Voter’s Cards (PVCs) ready to vote for the ADC candidates at all levels in the 2027 General Elections.

Also speaking, the Deputy National Organising Secretary of the ADC, Abubakar Atiku, described the visit of El-Rufa’i to the state as a welcome development.

Atiku stated that the party would bring positive changes that would enhance the peace and stability of the state.

He commended the Zamfara ADC stakeholders for maintaining unity, peace, and stability within the party.

“All ADC stakeholders are strongly working together for the ADC to bring positive changes that will bring security, justice, and fairness to the people of the state.

“We will ensure unity, peace, and stability among party leaders in the state,” he added.

The State ADC Chairman, Alhaji Kabiru Garba, stated that the participants in the event, comprising youths and women, came from the 14 local government areas of the state.

He said the ADC remained a united and strong family in the state.

Garba said, “We are always recording great successes as our party is receiving new members on daily basis.

“Zamfara is the home of ADC. We are going to make sure that transparent leadership is brought to Zamfara by the ADC.”

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the event was attended by various groups of people, including grassroots politicians, Islamic scholars, women’s groups, and youth groups, among others.
