TS Academy (Tech Sphere Academy), an African edtech platform dedicated to helping African tech talent build job-ready digital and tech skills, has been officially accredited by the American Council of Training and Development (ACTD).

The accreditation comes as the Academy introduces new courses designed to help more Africans build practical, job-ready skills in AI & Automation, DevOps Engineering, Software Engineering, Product Design, Cybersecurity, Project Management and Data Analytics, with each course is designed to close the skill gap between learning and employment, with mentorship, practical projects, and assessments forming a central part of the experience.

Speaking on the development, Adetola Durojaiye, Founder of Tech Sphere Academy, said the recognition validates the Academy’s commitment to providing world-class learning for African talent.

This recognition means a lot to us because it shows that our work is aligned with global standards. And our focus is to ensure that African tech talent can compete confidently in the international job market, and that starts with proper training, real mentorship, and the right opportunities.” Durojaiye said.

With its newly earned accreditation, Tech Sphere Academy plans to deepen partnerships with employers and tech communities, creating more channels for learners to access work opportunities and career development support across the continent.

To make learning accessible, the Academy launched a scholarship program worth one billion naira, which has already provided 3,000 Africans with fully funded access to its digital and tech training courses. The scholarship aims to remove financial barriers and create pathways for young people eager to transition into tech careers.

We’re very intentional about making sure access isn’t limited to those who can afford it. We want every learner who joins us to get more than training; we want our students to be connected to mentors, communities, and opportunities that help them grow without having to break the bank,” Durojaiye added.

TS Academy’s programs combine live instruction with practical projects, career guidance, and internship support to ensure students can apply what they learn in work environments. The Academy also maintains an active alumni network that connects learners to internship placements, job openings, and collaborative projects with partner companies.

The new ACTD accreditation strengthens TS Academy’s credibility and opens new doors for global partnerships. The Academy says it plans to expand its presence across Africa through local tech communities and employer networks that support young professionals looking to enter or advance in the tech industry.
