Anambra: Soludo sweeps polling unit in Isuofia

Must read

Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), recorded a resounding victory at his polling unit in Saturday’s governorship election in Anambra State.

At Polling Unit 002, Umuezeadigo Street, Isuofia in Aguata Local Government Area, Soludo secured an overwhelming 417 votes. His closest contender, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), received four votes, while the Accord Party candidate garnered a single vote.

According to the Presiding Officer, Miss Obiorah Anwulike, who announced the results at about 5:30 p.m., eight votes were declared invalid out of a total of 430 accredited voters.

The significant margin at Soludo’s polling unit reflects strong support for the incumbent governor in his hometown as vote collation continues across the state.
