As the All Progressives Congress, APC in Osun State prepares for its governorship primary, the youth wing of the party have endorsed, Mr Bola Oyebamiji to pick the party’s ticket.
The youth wing from Osun-West senatorial district gathered at the Senatorial headquarters in Iwo, express their support for Oyebamiji, popularly called AMBO, ahead of the December 13 primary election.
Speaking with newsmen, the Convener, Gafar Ayodeji from Ede-North local government, said that the youth wing of the party threw their support behind Bola Oyebamiji because he is a well-accepted aspirant, who can deliber victory for the party in next year governorship election.
He said, ”We, Osun-West youths, are here today to display our support for Asiwaju Munirudeen Oyebamiji (AMBO) as our adopted 2026 governorship aspirant under the platform of APC, and by God’s grace, he will emerge as our next governor in Osun State by August 8, 2026.
“Our Progressive party is a party that has rules, guidelines and we are very optimistic that AMBO would pick the APC ticket because of his exemplary character and competence.
“Our expectations and outcome should be made clear to our elders and leaders in the party; they will call on all the aspirants to let them know we already have our candidate, which is Bola Oyebamiji.
“My message to the youth ahead of the primary election is that we should not trade our future for pecuniary gain; this is the future that is at our hands, so we should stick together to deliver Osun from bad governance.” he said.
Also speaking, APC’s West senatorial youth leader, Imran Adekunle urged the leaders of the party at apex level to zone the ticket to the district.
According to him, We have been pleading with our leaders to zone the party ticket to the Osun West Senatorial District.
“As of today we are fully prepared for the election, I want to urge our youth in this district to be in united and support our district to produce the Governor in 2026”, he added.
