MINNA — The Niger State Police Command has arrested a 40-year-old woman, Victoria Ebunoha Chukwumezie of Nyanya, after she was found in possession of three underaged children at Diko Junction.
According to the police, operatives attached to the Gawu-Babangida Division moved to the location following a tip-off and intercepted the woman, who was travelling with the children aged between two and three years.
Police Public Relations Officer, SP Wasiu Abiodun, confirmed the arrest, stating that preliminary questioning revealed she had taken the children from Lambata and was transporting them to Abuja, allegedly “for care.”
The children were identified as Kazeem (3 years), Ya’amadu (2 years), and Idris (2 years). SP Abiodun said their parents have been contacted, and investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding the movement of the children.
