The ongoing controversy rocking Nollywood actress Regina Daniels’ family, has deepened as she publicly expressed worry over the whereabouts of her younger brother, Sammy Daniels, who was allegedly arrested and denied access to his family and legal aid.

Taking to her verified Instagram page on Wednesday morning, the actress broke her silence, calling on law enforcement authorities to account for her brother, whom she claimed has been held incommunicado for over 24 hours.

“Finally, some people now have a video that can make them think they can mock me, chai! But it’s okay. My entire focus right now is to know the whereabouts of my brother. WHERE IS SAMMY NED!!!” she wrote.

Regina, who appeared visibly distressed in her post, also criticised what she described as the inaction of senior police officers over the matter.

“Imagine one of the highest authorities in the police force, or if not the highest, saying his hands are tied! Like, ogini bu ihe!” she lamented.

The actress, however, vowed not to be intimidated, saying the issue had now become a battle of strength and willpower.

“Now this fight is going to be power for power, or rather aura for aura. It’s such a pity. #FreeSammy. For the records, I don’t regret anything. Na only me carry my leg enter, but this was a route I was meant to take, not my final destination,” she declared.

Her reaction came after her elder brother, Lawrence Daniels, accused Regina’s husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, of being behind Sammy’s detention, claiming that the politician had vowed not to release him until Regina returned home.

Lawrence, who shared a series of posts via his Instagram story, alleged that Sammy had been denied food, water, and access to legal aid since his arrest.

“Sammy does not have a right to legal aid. Sammy does not have a right to be seen. Sammy has had nothing to eat or drink. Is Sammy alive? I no longer know,” he wrote.

He further described the situation as “kidnap, intimidation, and abuse of power,” while calling on Nigerians to support a petition demanding justice for his detained brother.

However, when contacted the Federal Capital Territory Police Command , Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, initially told Vanguard that there was no such case reported.

“We don’t have such a case in our record; no division has even reported having such a case,” Adeh stated.

Few hours later she called, back saying she has gotten a call that the suspects is on his way and would revert if seens
