Investing.com — Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei declared on Tuesday that negotiations with the United States would be a “dead-end” that would not serve Tehran’s interests.
In a recorded message, Khamenei stated that Iran would not “surrender to pressure” regarding its uranium enrichment program, emphasizing that “the Iranian nation will not accept zero uranium enrichment.”
The Supreme Leader maintained Iran’s official position that the country does not need nuclear weapons and has no intention of producing them, while asserting that negotiations with the U.S. in the current situation would be “harmful.”

Khamenei claimed that the United States wants to restrict Iran’s missile capabilities, including its medium-range missiles. He added that “accepting negotiations under threats means that we surrender to pressure,” which he said “no honorable nation will accept.”
