Members of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) have begun gathering at the NLC Secretariat in Abuja for a nationwide protest against the rising insecurity across the country.
The NLC President, Joe Ajaero, was among those already present at the secretariat, alongside leaders of labour unions and civil society organisations.
Also in attendance is Omoyele Sowore and members of the Revolution Now Movement, who joined the protest in solidarity with organised labour.
Meanwhile, security personnel have been deployed to the area, including officers of the Nigeria Police Force, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), and operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS).
